Due to a mass exodus of offensive talent in the offseason, an ACC Coastal Division title and a bowl game of relevance was a tall task long before an absurdity of injuries hit the program. North Carolina has lost 14 players for the season due to injury, including eight starters, and that list likely will grow after a serious arm injury to senior safety Donnie Miles.
