Wesley Flagg expected to join Tar Heels today

The last of four North Carolina freshmen awaiting eligibility certification from the NCAA Clearinghouse will join the Tar Heels on the practice field today. Linebacker Wesley Flagg was certified and en route from his Fayetteville home to Chapel Hill on Thursday. Darius Powell, a defensive lineman from Waldorf, Md., participated in the Heels' Thursday morning practice, though he still awaits certification. Lineman Aleric Mullins also has not yet been certified, but was permitted to practice when the team opened preseason camp last Friday. (Greensboro News & Record)
