There is plenty of evidence in various corners of the Smith Center to acknowledge the Tar Heels won the 2017 NCAA championship: the banner in the arena rafters adjacent to the one from 2009; the trophy displayed in the men’s basketball offices; the more frequent smiles from coach Roy Williams. The most recent of Carolina’s six NCAA titles was unlike all the others, though. (Sporting News)
