Joel Berry Named Preseason All-America By Sporting News

UNC point guard Joel Berry has earned third-team preseason All-America honors from the Sporting News, announced on Wednesday. Berry, the 2017 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, is out of action temporarily with a broken bone in his hand. He also is a preseason candidate for national player-of-the-year and a preseason first-team All-ACC pick.
