Second Chance: Dailey is hopeful he will start for Tar Heels
Posted Aug 6, 2006
The next month, before North Carolina's first football game, can't go by fast enough for Joe Dailey. Dailey's playing career will resume this season, after a one-season interruption in 2005 caused by a school transfer. He could be North Carolina's starting quarterback for the season opener and he spent the summer meticulously preparing for the job, knowing that he would have to be sharp to win the position after his long layoff.
