ACC Preview: Heels Could Move Up
Posted Aug 5, 2006
UNC went 5-6 a year ago, which is the biggest reason the Tar Heels have been picked this low. But this could be the year Carolina wins. Coach John Bunting has put together his strongest staff, and although he must develop a new quarterback, the defense made huge strides a year ago. If tailback Ronnie McGill can stay healthy, there is every reason to believe he could become the first 1,000-yard back for the Heels since 1997, when Jon Linton did it.
