Back at Southern, ex-UNC, NBA player David Noel is ready for new challenge as a coach


First-year Southern basketball coach is starting down a path his mentor and former coach knows very well. Noel, who played for Williams at North Carolina and helped the Tar Heels win the 2005 NCAA national title, is starting his coaching career almost at the bottom rung. But Noel said that’s the path he wanted to take. It worked for Williams. (Durham Herald-Sun)
