From the Dean Smith collection: Papers from his Kansas days


The University of North Carolina has received a gift of personal records and papers from legendary basketball coach , including several items from his Kansas days. Smith, who died in 2015 at 83, won two NCAA championships as the Tar Heels’ coach and was a member of the 1952 and 1953 Kansas teams that finished first and second in the NCAA Tournament.
