Redshirt freshman QB Logan Byrd transferring from North Carolina

UNC redshirt freshman quarterback Logan Byrd has received his release and will transfer. Byrd announced his decision on Twitter. Byrd came to UNC in January 2016 from Veterans High School (Kathleen, Georgia). Byrd, who has three years of eligibility remaining. was anticipated to being behind junior Nathan Elliott and sophomore Chazz Surratt going into next spring.
