Emanuel Davis picks Heels

Emanuel Davis became the first Manteo football player to get an offer from North Carolina since (no relation), who played for the Heels from 1998-2001. North Carolina waivered at the start before seeing Davis in its June camp. Running a consistent 4.4 in the 40 yard dash, as well as his overall athleticism won with the Tar Heel staff. East Carolina had already made an offer, but once UNC put its name in the pile, Emanuel Davis was ready to make the decision. (Outer Banks Sentinel)
