UNC's QB Competition Starting Over

North Carolina signed a pair of quarterbacks – three-star pro-style QB Cade Fortin and four-star dual threat QB Jace Ruder - in the early signing period on Wednesday. Those freshmen will join Chazz Surratt and Nathan Elliott in battling for the starting position this spring and into the fall, although the returners have a head start in terms of experience and schematic familiarity.
