The Tar Heels class contains several high-profile recruits , including three 4-star players from the state of North Carolina. One of those is offensive guard Avery Jones. Jones, rated the 13th-best guard in the country by 247sports, hails from Havelock, North Carolina. Jones committed to UNC over Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and in-state rival N.C.
