Marion Jones Linked To Norfolk Fraud Ring
Posted Jul 14, 2006
A man implicated in a $5 million check-counterfeiting ring that moved money through Norfolk may have links to track star Marion Jones. Ephraim Richardson is among 12 people who have been indicted in the case, including Steve Riddick, Jones' track coach, and Tim Montgomery, a former standout at Norfolk State University. Jones has not been charged with anything, but court records suggest the sprinter received $25,000 in funds from one of the defendants last year.
