It's official: Dallas businessman now majority owner of Carolina Hurricanes

The sale of the Carolina Hurricanes to Texas billionaire Thomas Dundon is final. The National Hockey League approved the deal to transfer the franchise from Peter Karmanos Jr. to Dundon Thursday. The businessman from Dallas now owns 61 percent of the team, while Karmanos retains a minority ownership stake. Dundon will be introduced Friday.
