Luck of the Tar Heels: No. 20 UNC Escapes South Bend With 69-68 Victory Over Notre Dame

It took a great deal of good fortune, but the Tar Heels escaped the land of the Fighting Irish on Saturday with a 69-68 victory over Notre Dame–after guard T.J. Gibbs missed a pair of shots around the rim in the final seconds. While Gibbs and the Fighting Irish were stunned, the Tar Heels let out a sigh of relief after picking up their first ACC road victory of the season. (Chapelboro.com)
