Barry Switzer did a Google search, came up with the phone number of Ryan Switzer's father, Michael, and called him to talk to Michael about his son and to determine if there was some distant relation. He was in contact with Ryan soon afterwards. "He actually called me my junior year of college and he said he would claim me because I was good,'' Ryan Switzer said. (Dallas Morning News)
