Diamond Heels Scatter To Summer Leagues
Posted Jul 4, 2006
Less than a week after the most successful run in North Carolina baseball history came to an end, twenty-five members of Tar Heels' NCAA runner-up team have scattered across the country to various collegiate wooden bat summer leagues to begin prep for the 2007 season. Nine Tar Heels will play in the Cape Cod League, including four with Harwich and three with Chatham. Right-hander Robert Woodard is in his third season with the Chatham A's and is slated to start Tuesday.
