A quick rundown of the latest Tar Heel news with some basketball and football recruiting info, today's upcoming game schedule, birthdays and historic events. It also includes the UNC photo of the day, and the thought of the day.
Wednesday's top news:
Everyone's got an opinion on what's working and what's not for UNC basketball this season. The Daily Tar Heel wrote that Roy Williams' small ball tactics are working...and then the Virginia Tech game happened. Art Chansky lists several issues the Tar Heels are facing, while Inside Carolina does the same in their podcast.
On the basketball recruiting front, Roy Williams visited 2019 5-star power forward Will Baker in Austin, Texas on Wednesday. He'll visit 2019 power forward Alonzo Gaffney on Sunday, per Sherrell McMillan of Inside Carolina ($$$). 2019 UNC point guard commit Jeremiah Francis will make his official visit to UNC the weekend of Feb. 2 for the Pitt game.
