Championship: denied

What was and what will never be. Such is the sad ending to what had been a fairytale NCAA Tournament for the Carolina baseball team until Monday?s final game. A team that rode late-game heroics to the brink of a national championship had its world turn upside down at the most crucial moment of the season. A throwing error allowed the eventual winning run to score for Oregon State in a 3-2 Beavers' victory, sending the Tar Heels back to Chapel Hill numb and wondering how it all went so wrong after losing consecutive games to OSU.
