Posted Feb 1, 2018
Roy Williams offers E.J. Montgomery, Mack Hollins meets the Super Bowl media, UNC women's basketball faces No. 5 Notre Dame, a classic UNC-Duke flashback and more in Tar Heels Today.
Wednesday News & Notes:
Roy Williams offered 2018 5-star power forward E.J. Montgomery after visiting him at Wheeler High School in Mareitta, Ga. on Wednesday.
Montgomery's top 11 list includes Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Clemson, South Carolina, UCLA, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Georgia, Southern Cal, and Vanderbilt (in no order). Here's Montgomery's profile and highlight video.
UNC is somewhat late to Montgomery's recruitment and Duke is the presumptive leader among many analysts at this point, but Williams likely wouldn't put in the effort this late in the game if he didn't feel he had a shot.
Philadelphia Eagles rookie Mack Hollins arrived in Minneapolis for the Super Bowl where he spoke with the media while simultaneously solving a Rubik's Cube.
WRAL also wrote about Hollins and his road through Chapel Hill.
From yesterday, Adam Lucas wrote a great article on Joel Berry after Tuesday's loss to Clemson.
