With both backup point guards sidelined Saturday, Theo Pinson spent several possessions at the point while starter Joel Berry was free to work off the ball. The move could offer solutions for two players who have struggled with their shot: Pinson, easily North Carolina’s best passer, spends more time with the ball in hands and Berry can focus on finding open shots.
