Heels get powerful pledge

The University of North Carolina picked up a football commitment from power back of Matthews Butler on Friday. Houston, who made his announcement on ESPNU, is a 6-foot-3, 255-pound running back who rushed for 1,910 yards and 34 touchdowns in the 2005 season. "He is a rare athlete who has tremendous size and incredible athletic ability. His vertical jump is 38 inches so he can run and jump and he has tremendous power." (Raleigh News & Observer)
