Luke Maye, Joel Berry Placed on Naismith Award Top 30 List

The Naismith Award, college basketball’s prestigious National Player of the Year honor, released its top 30 candidates Wednesday with a pair of Tar Heels in the mix. Junior forward Luke Maye leads UNC in scoring (18.3 ppg) and rebounding (10.4 rpg), while Joel Berry is right behind in scoring (17.5 ppg) and has been UNC’s steadying backcourt force.
