When you want to beat a team so you can talk trash, it’s a rivalry. When you want to not lose to a team as badly as you want to beat them, it’s a rivalry. Roy Williams wants to beat NC State at least as much as he wants to beat anybody on the schedule. Mike Fox, too —he threw on a red Carolina Hurricanes sweater for an event a few years ago, but he didn’t like it. (WRAL Sports Fan)
