McCool, Ortega Lead No. 7 UNC Women's Lacrosse By Liberty, 23-4

Seventh-ranked North Carolina got seven goals from senior Marie McCool and five from freshman Jamie Ortega to beat Liberty, 23-4, Sunday at Kenan Stadium. McCool tied her career high with the seven goals that came on just eight shots. McCool also scored seven goals against Louisville in 2017. The UNC record for goals in a game is eight, set in 2002.
