Diamond Heels Win Thriller At USF, 9-8


North Carolina won a thriller Sunday against USF thanks to an Ike Freeman solo home run in the top of the 10th inning and a three-inning win from Austin Bergner who retired nine straight Bulls batters. The Tar Heels blew a seven-run lead in the seventh inning before battling back to earn its second consecutive win and clinch the opening series against the Bulls. (GoHeels.com)
