Youth helps Tar Heels surge ahead

When Daniel Bard takes the mound today for North Carolina in a College World Series game against Cal State Fullerton at Rosenblatt Stadium, he'll be supported by a Tar Heels offense composed of three freshmen, five sophomores and one junior. That's not exactly a group of wily, experienced veterans. But it is a bunch of skilled, precocious players who aren't in awe of what they are in the middle of accomplishing.
