Shutouts in the world of college baseball and aluminum bats are rare, but Robert Woodard pulled off the improbable Sunday by pitching North Carolina to a 2-0 victory over top-seeded Clemson at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. North Carolina (52-13) will try to finish the first part of the job by defeating Cal State Fullerton (50-14) today for a spot in the national-championship series.
