Injury Delays Bruce Carter's Enrollment

Due to the rehab of his knee, Tar Heels 2006 signee will not be enrolling this summer. Instead, the Havelock (N.C.) High School standout athlete will arrive in Chapel Hill in January of 2007. Carter, who verbally committed to the Heels over a year ago, had arthroscopic knee surgery in April. He suffered the injury during the ’05 season and missed a game and a half, but it was diagnosed as a sprain at first. It wasn’t determined until after basketball season that surgery was needed to remove excess cartilage. (Inside Carolina)
