UNC blanks Clemson
Posted Jun 19, 2006
The cardiac Clemson Tigers finally ran out of miracles Sunday night. After four straight comeback wins, Clemson dug itself another early hole in a College World Series winners' bracket game against ACC foe North Carolina. This time, the Tar Heels' No.3 starter, Robert Woodard, kept them down — and shoveled some dirt on for good measure, throwing a complete-game three-hit shutout that carried North Carolina to a 2-0 victory before 21,329 fans at Rosenblatt Stadium.
