With Woody Durham's death, North Carolinians lose a soundtrack

Woody Durham was one of us, an Albemarle kid who grew up studying oration before taking a job in Greensboro and helping reshape sports in our hometown. But he will always be remembered as the longtime play-by-play announcer for UNC, one of the most cherished jobs in broadcasting, a job he remade in his own humble image.
