Fundamental shifts in attitude helped Fox lead Tar Heels to the World Series

UNC's struggles in the ACC Baseball Tournament are well-documented -- the team is 7-16 in the event under coach Mike Fox, including four 0-2 showings -- and the Tar Heels had played in only one super regional before 2006. The cycle of rigorous off-seasons followed by successful regular seasons followed by brief postseasons was frustrating for everyone. But Fox broke that routine by ... breaking his routine.
