Piece by piece, workers pounded panels of maple timber together across the floor of the sunlit Marvin Williams Recreation Center gymnasium last week, arduously unveiling the hardwood that will serve as the centerpiece of the new complex. Its slow but steady completion serves as a fitting analogy of the $7.2 million center’s development. (Kitsap Sun)
