No. 6 North Carolina defeated Western Carolina 8-2 on Wednesday at Boshamer stadium to move to 28-13 on the year while winning 14 of their last 17. Brandon Riley led the way offensively going two for three at the plate with a home run and two runs scored. UNC faces a big road test this weekend as it travels to No. 2 NC State in a three-game ACC series.
