It was UNC Athletic Director Dick Baddour's task to court and hire Roy Williams. We all know how it ended up in 2000: Williams declined, Matt Doherty was hired, and three years later Williams was pursued again and accepted. On the Carolina Insider Podcast, Baddour detailed his courtship of Williams and the exact moment Williams called to turn down UNC.
