Wayne Ellington wants to return to the Heat, but a salary-cap hurdle looms

Wayne Ellington isn’t worried about his negotiating leverage. All he’s worried about is re-signing with the Miami Heat this offseason. Ellington will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. The 30-year-old is expected to get a pay raise in free agency from this past season’s $6.3 million salary after setting a new career-high and team record with 227 made 3-pointers.
