Five-star center Charles Bassey (6'10, 220, Louisville, Kentucky) has committed to Western Kentucky and will reclassify to 2018, a source tells 247Sports. Bassey transferred to Louisville (Ky.) Aspire this past season and the Hilltoppers have been considered the favorite in his recruitment for some time. Bassey was ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2019 class.
