King Rice relishes a community celebration

Earnest, heartfelt, with teardrops-a-trickling sentiment and more than cathartic. That was King Rice at Columbus Park, across Carroll Street from the apartment building in which he was raised, basketball courts where his game was honed as a backdrop.
