A clear choice seems to be emerging, finally, as the Royals sift through candidates for the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming amateur draft. North Carolina left-hander . Several top club officials traveled Friday to Charlottesville, Va., to see Miller pitch against Virginia. They saw him lose for the first time this season in 12 starts and still came back wowed.
