Next year's title contenders have emerged

The Tar Heels landed the two main pieces missing from a young team that far exceeded expectations by grabbing a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament last season. Tywon Lawson is the type of pass-first point guard whom Roy Williams craves. Built low to the ground and with an extra gear of speed, he's constantly creating easy baskets for teammates. Brandan Wright is the ideal compliment for big man Tyler Hansbrough. The 6-9 Wright excels in the high post and can play on the perimeter.
