Former UNC football commit Payton Wilson likely to redshirt for NC State after re-injuring knee

Payton Wilson, the former Orange High School star linebacker who recently flipped his college commitment from North Carolina to NC State, is reportedly likely to redshirt this upcoming season after a setback in his recovery from a torn ACL suffered this past fall. Before decommitting from UNC, he was projected to be the Tar Heels’ top incoming defensive recruit.
