UNC Researchers Aim to Revolutionize Ebola Care in West Africa

In the thick of the 2014 Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa, the World Health Organization dispatched UNC-Chapel Hill physician Billy Fischer to provide medical care in Guinea. Though he had been enthusiastic about his initial plan, he accepted the unexpected assignment with nervous anticipation. His frame of mind completely shifted, though, during his arrival flight to Guinea.
