Former Tar Heel J.R. Reid Joins King Rice's Monmouth Staff

According to Stadium's Jeff Goodman, Monmouth University has hired former North Carolina standout J.R. Reid as an assistant basketball coach. Reid played with Monmouth head coach King Rice at North Carolina. Reid played at UNC under head coach Dean Smith from 1986-89. Rice was at Carolina from 1987-1991. The two overlapped in Chapel Hill for two seasons.
