Ryan Switzer just became a Steeler, but he already has a friend in James Conner

The day after James Conner announced he had cancer, North Carolina’s Ryan Switzer altered his football cleats for the 2015 ACC championship game. “He showed me some love,” Conner said Tuesday. “He wrote ‘ConnerStrong’ on his cleats in a tribute. He’s my good friend.” Friends, but competitors, Conner and Switzer joined together in the same locker room Tuesday. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
