Julia Ashley’s Game-Winner Lifts No. 3 UNC Women's Soccer Past Providence

Julia Ashley scored the second game-winning goal of her career to lift the third-ranked UNC women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Providence College Thursday (Highlights). The Tar Heels outshot the Friars 19-8 and had a 12-1 edge in corner kicks but had trouble finishing their chances against a Providence team that had not allowed a goal in its first three matches.
