Duke transfer forward Sean Stewart commits to Ohio State

Former Duke forward committed to coach Jake Diebler and Ohio State on Friday. The 6-foot-9 freshman from Windermere, Florida averaged 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game. Stewart entered the transfer portal last month after just one season in Durham. Stewart is a former McDonald’s All-American and 5-star recruit. (On3.com)

Top-50 senior Somto Cyril, former Kentucky signee, commits to Georgia

Somto Cyril, a four-star center out of Overtime Elite in the 2024 class, has committed to Georgia. Cyril was officially released from his National Letter of Intent to Kentucky following the departure of former Wildcats head coach John Calipari to Arkansas. Cyril is the nation’s No. 46 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking. (On3.com)

2024 four-star Kansas decommit Labaron Philon commits to Alabama

Labaron Philon, the No. 32 overall recruit in the 2024 class and recent Kansas decommit, has committed to Alabama. Alabama and Philon make for a great pairing with his ability to get up and down the court, score, create for others and be an impactful defender. Philon thrives playing on instincts and in Nate Oats' offense, Philon should grow into having a big role. (247 Sports)

Former Wake Forest guard Kevin “Boopie” Miller transferring to SMU

New SMU men’s basketball head coach Andy Enfield is back to work reshaping the roster for the 2024-25 season. This time, he’s added six-foot guard Kevin "Boopie" Miller from Wake Forest. The rising redshirt junior averaged 15.6 points per game last season, the second most on the Demon Deacons. Perhaps most crucially, Miller brings a year of experience in the ACC. Miami lands one of nation's top scorers as Stetson G Jalen Blackmon commits to the Hurricanes

It has been a busy offseason for the Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball program, and Sunday afternoon Canes head coach Jim Larrañaga and his staff landed their third transfer portal commitment as former Stetson guard Jalen Blackmon announced his pledge to Miami. During his junior season at Stetson, Blackmon averaged 21.3 points per game. (CaneSport.com)

Former Kentucky foward Adou Thiero visits Arkansas

Just hours after signing one of the top transfers in the country, Arkansas basketball and John Calipari were hosting another portal prospect on a visit Wednesday afternoon. Former Kentucky power forward Adou Thiero confirmed that he was in Fayetteville visiting the Razorbacks. Thiero is currently rated as the No. 10 overall transfer by 247Sports. (Hawg Sports)

Kentucky lands Wake Forest transfer, power forward Andrew Carr

Kentucky landed its third commitment in as many days Sunday night, when Wake Forest forward Andrew Carr announced his commitment to the Wildcats. A 6-foot-10 power forward, Carr will bring an inside-outside skill set to Lexington. He averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds for Wake Forest this past season, shooting better than 37% from 3-point range. (ESPN.com)

VCU Forward Toibu Lawal Commits To Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech and head basketball coach Mike Young picked up a commitment Friday in VCU forward Toibu “Tobi” Lawal. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward averaged 7.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this year while shooting 66.7 percent from the field. He played in 63 games over two seasons with the Rams and has two years of eligibility remaining. (Tech Sideline)
