Jace Ruder Provides Spark, Adds Another Chapter in UNC's QB Saga

It was another impressive, and brief, debut by a true freshman quarterback for North Carolina. Jace Ruder replaced junior starter Nathan Elliott in the second quarter against Georgia Tech and immediately sparked the Tar Heel offense. The 6-foot-2 Kansas native directed an eight-play, 85-yard drive and capped it with a nine-yard dagger to tight end Carl Tucker for a touchdown.
