Garrison Brooks looked like a new man in last week’s exhibition win over Mount Olive, but naturally, that performance was approached with guarded optimism given the Trojans’ lack of big men. It’s safe to buy in on Brooks after he posted a career-high 20 points on 9-for-17 shooting to go along with five rebounds, and perhaps most importantly, an improved defensive effort.
