Posted Apr 10, 2019
R.J. Barrett has become the first member of Duke’s freshman class to announce his NBA intentions. The 6-7 forward revealed Wednesday that he was declaring for the 2019 NBA draft. His declaration is no surprise; Barrett has long been considered a top-five NBA draft pick. Barrett was tied for the team lead in scoring with Zion Williamson at 22.6 points per game.
