Homer-happy Tar Heels lash out on Liberty


North Carolina’s baseball team belted a season-high five home runs in a 16-1 romp past Liberty in an NCAA regional Saturday at Boshamer Stadium. It matched the largest margin of victory in the Tar Heels’ NCAA Tournament history. UNC (44-17) plays Sunday’s Liberty / Tennessee winner at 6 p.m. Sunday with a chance to clinch a spot in the super regionals. (Burlington Times News)
